Appeal

(petition, be attractive, claim, complain, supplication, invoke, apply for, ) 


E.g. The idea of working a sixty-hour week doesn't really appeal (it's not attractive).

1. a serious or urgent request, typically one made to the public. 

E.g. An urgent appeal went out on Radio 3 for the missing four.
E.g. The appeal for more time to prepare the case was denied.

2. an application to a higher court for a decision to be reversed. 

E.g. On appeal, however, the Eighth Circuit reversed, without dedicating a single line to the issue of class actions.



Sort of  = kind of 


E.g. I'm getting kind of fed up (annoyed or upset)  with you complaining all the time.



Current = present, actual, present-day, contemporary, modern, present
